Pre-Assembly Mailing
 The
pre-assembly materials for the 2008 Northeastern
Ohio Synod Assembly, May 16-17 at the
John S. Knight Center, Akron, have been
mailed and are available
on-line. Only ONE copy of these
materials have been sent to each congregation.
Congregations must make copies and distribute
to all voting members. These materials may
also be downloaded from the
Synod Assembly home page by clicking

Call and
Notice of Synod Assembly
 In accordance with
Section S7.13.01 of the Northeastern Ohio Synod
constitution, I hereby call and give notice of the
synod assembly which will be held at the John S.
Knight Center, Akron, Ohio and will commence on the
sixteenth day of May, 2008.

Lutheran Disaster Response Ohio 2008
 On
August 27, 2007 there were 8,717 families who were
flooded in eight counties. The eight counties
flooded on August 27, 2007 plus six additional
counties were flooded on February 8, 2008 affecting
2,544 household. Flooding occurred in three
counties on March 18 & 19, 2008. These three
counties with over 200 damaged home will not be
receiving government assistance. Fore more

gift of hope and healing to a disastrous situation.

Matters is the weekly 30-minute radio program of
the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The
program is currently heard station
WHK-AM1420
(Cleveland), 7:30 am Sunday,
WKVX-AM 960 (Wooster), 8:30 am Sunday and
WZLP-FM 95.7 (Loudonville), 10:00 am Monday. It
can also be
