Epiphany Reading Blogs:

 

During Epiphany we are asking you to join with your sisters and brothers throughout the synod to read the books of Mark and Acts of the Apostles; one chapter a day  beginning on Sunday, January 11 and concluding on Monday, February 23.

The schedule above and included in the attached [flyer] are provided  for your congregation to prepare activities for promoting this reading opportunity with as many people as possible.

 

You may want to: 

+ Encourage individuals to gather on a weekly   basis in their homes, at church, or on the internet to share thoughts or questions regarding the texts. 

+ Bring people together in new groups to prayerfully reflect on these texts and receive fresh insights. 

+ Support groups of different generations, communities or even congregations to form during these six weeks for conversation.

 + Challenge existing groups (i.e. choir, quilters, committees, etc.) to spend a portion of their time reflecting on recent chapters and sharing how regular reading of the scriptures speaks to one’s daily life.
