The staff in the synod office in Cuyahoga Falls assures the smooth operation of
the Northeastern Ohio synod. Members of the administrative staff, the
resource center and the Bishop’s office administer ELCA policies,
coordinate synod activities and process communications between
individuals, synod congregations and the ELCA church body. We invite you

A Synod Council, as specified in the synod constitution, governs the
Northeastern Ohio synod between synod assemblies. This council makes
decisions and recommendations concerning the life and mission of the
synod. This body oversees the work of the various committees and task
forces of the synod. Clergy and lay people from the synod conferences and
members of the Bishop’s staff comprise the synod council.
Synod committees and task forces actively involve lay people and
rostered personnel from throughout the synod in planning, implementing and
executing synod-wide programs and policies. ELCA members can participate
in diverse opportunities in including congregational fife, social
ministry, and Christian education. We invite you to follow this link to

The Northeastern Ohio Synod has entered into a partnership with many
Lutheran social service agencies throughout Ohio. These services include
ministry to the elderly, children, families and the disenfranchised. We
