camera and share your ministry story in a
30-to-90-second video. Go to
www.elca.org/videocontest and enter your video now
through July 15, 2009. Prizes include a $5,000 ministry
grant for an ELCA congregation or a $2,500 cash prize
for an individual. If you have multiple stories to
share, record and enter them all. The winners will be
announced at the 2009 Churchwide Assembly. Find out

50 Days of Prayer
Preparing
for the 2009 ELCA Churchwide Assembly
 ELCA Presiding Bishop Mark S. Hanson has asked members to
pray and study Scripture --
focusing on this church and the 2009 Churchwide Assembly --
for the 50 days prior to the
assembly.
"50 Days of Prayer" begins June 28. Members are
asked to pray daily, meet in groups each week and use
the assembly's daily lectionary for reflection.
Congregations are invited to use suggested petitions for
prayers during Sunday worship. Find resources and
